Westward Ho!

I loved my Mom!

Last fall Ray suggested that we take a month long RV trip out west. Months of planning went into this trip. We finally decided we would fly to Salt Lake City, rent an RV, then head north to Grand Teton, Yellowstone, Glacier, over to Washington to see Leanne in Sequim, go over to Victoria, then down through Washington, Oregon and California with stops at Crater Lake, the Redwoods, Alson’s vineyard, San Fran to see Colin, and last but, not least, San Jose to see Trey.

A while ago when we were considering adding Glacier in I realized I had been there. After only about 5 minutes of hunting I found the pictures from my family’s Amtrak trip. I was about 12. Along with the pictures was Mom’s Trip Diary. It was such a gift to able to read about that trip in her own handwriting, to be able to see it through her eyes. On that trip we saw my brother Alson. Then his son Trey was just about 2. There was no Colin yet. Now we will be seeing them again. Only now Trey has a new son, Asher, I’ll get to meet him for the first time.

With Mom’s influence I decided to blog this trip so one day my kids will be able to read about this trip in our own words.

So come along for the “read”. We hope you enjoy our trip.
